In 1980 Sweden got it’s first World Trials Champion, and so far the only one, Ulf Karlsson, Älvbygdens MK. At the same time as he ended his carrier 2004 Eddie Krlsson started his. They both got cups at the same time at the competition in Karlshamn, Sweden. Ulf was a factory rider for the Spanish Company Montesa during the period 1970-1983 and carried on as an amateur for 20 years more.
Eddie started on a mini cross bike until he changed to a trial bike nine years old. He started 2004 in the easier classes but challenged himself to more difficult classes and rapidly climbed to the elite. Already three years later he was among the best junior rider in Sweden. As told before he ended in fourteenth place 2012, 2013 and 2014. In the year 2013 he competed in the European Trials Championship and won.

Trial as a sport.
Trial as a sport is unique where the difficulties are to control the bike to the full. The challenge is to drive every section of the track without putting any feet to the ground. For every section you can get from zero up to five points. For every mistake you get one point. If the driver fall of the bike it immediately gets the highest point, five. Trial is driving by riders in all ages and sex, both outdoors and indoors.
